What I love about the D-Link Wireless N300 Router is that it just worked. I connected it, logged in and copied my computers MAC address, reset and I was running. Total time to set up: 2 minutes. I have improved range throughout my home compared to my last 300 MB/s router. Rooms where I would get signals dropped or incredibly slow speeds are now running at 150 MB/s. And the price is very competitive.
The web-based interface was very easy to use. I am not a networking guru, but was able to set up a filter and an email notification for unsuccessful attempts at logging into my home network.
I actually like the cloud based features. Just yesterday my wife was complaining about a slow network connection and I just logged into the router from my Android phone and reset the router. That fixed it. I plan on recommmending these routers for all my family members who ask me to set up their networks so that I can have a little more insight as to what's going on when they call me and say, "the internet is broken." It still seems a bit gimicky to me, but still nice to be able to check into my network to see what's going on. As for the media sharing features, it works but I prefer other options like the Logmein application and computer program from over-the-web remote access. But since it doesn't seem like they really increased the price for these extra features they are nice freebies that only add to the value of an otherwise good router.
