The Buffalo WLI-H4-D1300 replaces a D-Link DAP-1522 wireless bridge that was used to connect various components in my home theater to the home network. Using a Netgear R6300 as the wireless AC router which is about 50 feet away in an upstairs room. Setup of the bridge was pretty simple. Did not use the AOSS/WPS buttons to connect to the router.
I installed the ethernet converter software on the included cd instead and manually setup the bridge from there for wireless AC on the 5GHz band (note that there is also Air Station software for the Buffalo WZR-D1800H wireless AC router on the cd). Also, there is a button on the back that switches the bridge between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. When 5GHz is active, there is a small 5GHz on the front of the bridge that remains lit.
This was a much easier manual setup than the prior D-Link bridge it's replacing. The ethernet converter software shows that the signal strength hovers around 48% with a connected speed varying from 498 Mbps to 535 Mbps. A little pricey at this time, but that's what you get for being an early adopter.
